lyrics

I saw God as he walked across the sea and took a step back as he opened his arms to me. He said, "Come closer, come to me my child. I'm here to show you all of the beautiful things." And I responded, "I won't swear to you 'cause I believe in me. For all I care, you could drown in that sea. You left my brother and I alone with no love to call our own."
If I wasn't from a broken home, I'd be from nowhere at all. It's hard to hold your head up when you're always waiting for the fall.
So dig up my white washed bones. Bury them beneath the sand. I'm calling it quits.
You expect me to die in the arms of a Father who was never there. You kidnapped my innocence and made it a monster. You choked out my childhood like the weeds behind the house that I never grew up in.
This isn't family, this is affliction.
The back of vans and motel rooms never really felt like home. Stop having your friends tell me that you love me. You don't even know me. I'm calling it quits.
I'm from a broken home. Dig up my white washed bones.
I'm not homesick, I'm just sick of my home. Heartfelt and homesick.
I'm homesick.
